All complete now. The T21 on the left, running Windows 95. T42 in the middle has XP Pro. It's awaiting a new processor, heatsink, and HD. The new ZBook 14 on the right.

XP. The most overrated piece of shit OS of all time. It has not aged gracefully. Not even a little.

Perhaps you should try Windows Millennium.

The T42 is damn near indestructible. Things quickly went downhill when IBM sold out to Lenovo and they started using the 3 digit model codes.

Millennium wasn't overrated though. It was shit from the very start.

I'm jealous; I need something that runs on XP, so I can play my old games.

Yep! The T6x series was also very good.

Yes they are. We still have a few T61P's floating around the office despite our efforts to collect and retire them 4 years ago. Some people just won't give them up.

Put an SSD and 4GB RAM in them, they fly.

Ah, back when IBM made laptops...

I had a T42 and a T500. Both were great

What happened to them?

The 42 was traded in on the 500, and I still use the 500 as a Linux media server for the TV at home. Neither could handle doing much 3D design anymore..
